Station 60 (Train Station Lofts)
Brantford
17.11.2025
The Station Sixty project continues to move steadily through the final stages of the Site Plan Approval process. Conditional Site Plan Approval remains in place, with an extension secured through March 2, 2026, providing sufficient runway to complete condition clearing and advance the revised development program. The Site Plan Complete Approval timeline also accounts for the five months required to complete remediation work and obtain the Record of Site Condition (RSC).
In response to current market conditions, the project has been repositioned from a condominium model to a purpose-built rental development. A rental market analysis and feasibility study completed by SVN Rock informed the redesign, which has been refined to improve efficiency, incorporate value engineering, and optimize unit mix, amenities, parking, and overall site functionality. The revised concept is organized into two independent phases, each designed to function autonomously from both a parking and access perspective.
The updated design has been reviewed and aligned across all stakeholders, including ownership, finance, the rental market consultant, and the project planner. Most recently, the Site Plan condition clearing submission was completed on November 11, and the team is currently awaiting City comments. In parallel, preparations are underway for the GRCA permit submission to ensure approvals continue to advance without delay.
Together, these steps position the project well for final Site Plan Approval and subsequent permitting, while maintaining flexibility to respond to market conditions as the project moves closer to construction.
