In our last project update for 688 Brant, we were progressing through Cycle 2 of the Site Plan Approval (SPA) process, waiting on City comments for our second submission. We also submitted our Minor Variance Application on October 30, 2024, which was officially deemed complete on December 10, 2024 (File Number: A-097-2024).

Since then, Cycle 2 of the Site Plan Approval (SPA) process for 688 Brant has been successfully completed. While the City comments from the second submission were originally expected by November 29th, they were delayed due to additional traffic analysis and third-party audits to assess optimal site access. We received the official comments from the city on January 29th.

In response to the City’s feedback, we’ve proactively collaborated with our adjacent property owner to facilitate shared access through our site. This adjustment has been well-received and highlights a productive partnership with our neighbour.

We are now preparing for the third cycle submission, and our team is currently refining the drawings to address all outstanding comments from Cycle 2. The City remains very supportive of the project and has expressed satisfaction with the progress to date.
